Jewell Gardens and White Pass Summit Tour from Skagway -- Jewell Gardens is the 'finest garden' in the "Garden City of Alaska." The White Pass Summit is the highlight of the Skagway area, a 'must see' while visiting Southeast Alaska. This unforgettable mountain experience takes you over the rugged Coastal Mountains along the Klondike Highway. You will follow the trail of the gold seekers and hear of their incredible journey. Frequent stops along the way allows photographers ample opportunities to capture the beautiful glaciers, waterfalls, mountains and valleys.

Also visit the Historic Town, the Gold Rush Cemetery (Skagway's own boot hill) and the Overlook. You will also tour Jewell Gardens where you will walk amoung the wide variety of flowers, herbs, berries, and vegatables and enjoy the fragrances, intense colors and the phenomenal growth Alaska's summers bring.

Summary: Pickups are available for this tour from cruise ships, the ferry dock and Skagway hotels. Child age is 4 to 12; under 4 ride free. Please reserve online, or call us toll-free at 888-321-3624. There is a $3.95 processing fee per order. This is a flat fee regardless of the number of tickets or tours purchased on an order.
There is a service charge per ticket. This charge will be reflected on your summary before you checkout. The total shown includes any and all taxes, fuel surcharges, and service fees. There are no additional charges.

Cancellation Policy: There are no refunds. All sales are final.

Change Fee Policy: If changes are allowed on a tour or activity, a $20.00 per reservation change fee will be applied for any change to a reservation. Please note that some tours and activities do not allow any changes. Date changes can be made only if we can confirm availability on the new date. While we cannot guarantee any changes can be made, all change requests must be submitted a minimum of 24 hours prior to the tour departure and must be handled on an individual basis through our Reservations Center.

Jewell Gardens

'The finest garden' in the Garden City of Skagway is a privately owned and totally organic garden located on the historic Clark farmsite. Walk among the wide variety of berries, herbs, flowers, and vegtables to capture fragances and intense colors The creative overall design includes a miniature G-scale railroad that runs against a background of dwarf trees, flowering shrubs and model buildings that represent Skagway at the turn of the century.

White Pass Summit

The magnificant Coast Mountains are a sight to behold. You will travel to the Canadian Border at the summit elevation of 3292 feet. Photograph the glaciers, waterfalls and the pristine enviroment.

Historic Skagway

Skagway is nestled in a mountain valley along the north end of the Lynn Canal. Enjoy the ride through our historic town and hear why Skagway was known as the 'roughest and rowdiest' town on the frontier.

The Overlook

This balcony view is the perfect place to take a photo of your ship in the harbor with the snowcapped Chilkat Mountains as a backdrop.

Gold Rush Cemetery

See the Gold Rush Cemetery, the final resting place of many who lost their lives at the turn of the century.

US-Canada Border Crossing Information
~Canada will not allow a U.S. citizen into the country who does not have the proper documentation to return home. Everyone from every country arriving in Canada or the USA by air, land or sea now needs a passport or equivalent travel document. Equivalent travel documents include:
1. NEXUS CARD: A partnership between the Canada and U.S. border services that pre-approves entry for travelers by land, sea or air between Canada and U.S. An added benefit is designated and faster lanes at border crossings and airports. Application process involves interview and fingerprinting. Both U.S. and Canadian citizens apply through U.S. Customs and Border Protection.
2. U.S. PASSPORT CARD: This U.S. Department of State-issued ID is valid for entry into Canada by land or sea, though not valid for international air travel.
3. ENHANCED DRIVER'S LICENSE (EDL): EDLs indicate both citizenship and identity and are valid for entry into Canada by land or sea, though not valid for international air travel. As of January 2009, EDLs were only available in Washington and New York states, but were planned for Vermont as well. See individual state licensing departments for more info.
4. FAST/EXPRES CARD: This U.S. Customs and Border Protection program pre-approves commercial truck drivers for travel between the U.S. and Canada.

Children ages 18 and under are required to present proof of citizenship, such as a birth certificate - passports, of course, are also acceptable.
~If one parent is traveling with a minor child without the other parent, they must also have a notarized letter from the absent parent stating approval for the one parent to travel across the US-Canada border with the child.
